| A professional development symposium was hosted by the MDC at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in April 2008. The AMWA certificate programs are extensive continuing education programs for professional communicators in the medical and allied scientific field. The 2008 workshops held in Ottawa included "Writing and Designing Material for Patient Education", "Principles of Pharmacoeconomics", and "Reporting Randomized Trials in Science Journals". | |||||||||||||||
